Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RiskMail API, dashboard, and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
RiskMail provides an API that analyses email addresses and domains to return a disposable / safe verdict and related classification metadata. The Service is offered on a subscription basis with a limited free tier.
2. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the API to collect personal data beyond what is necessary for your stated use case
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying risk dataset
- Resell or white-label the API response without prior written agreement
- Submit fraudulent or synthetic data designed to probe the model
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law, including data protection regulations
- Circumvent rate limits or quotas by rotating API keys, IPs, or accounts
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate acceptable use without prior notice.
4. API Usage and Quotas
Each plan includes a daily request quota as shown on the Pricing page. Quotas reset at 00:00 UTC. Requests that exceed your quota will receive an HTTP 429 response. Unused quota does not roll over.
5. Billing and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable taxes. If a payment fails, we will retry up to three times over seven days before suspending API access. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

7. Service Availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the API. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance via the Status page. Unplanned outages will be communicated via the Status page as soon as practicable. Downtime does not entitle you to a credit or refund unless agreed in a separate SLA.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of any data you submit to the API. By submitting data you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of returning risk results and for service improvement in an aggregated, anonymised form.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, risk models, datasets, and documentation are the intellectual property of RiskMail. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Verdicts and classification metadata are probabilistic signals intended to assist human decision-making and should not be the sole basis for refusing service to end users. We do not warrant that the Service is error-free or that results are 100% accurate.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiskMail's aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
